Working Full Time Planning Your Wedding Help!

If you are working full time, then your time for planning your wedding becomes more important. You need to plan every detail very carefully. Here are some tips to help with getting all this planning organized so that your wedding day will go off without a hitch.
One of the first things you will need is to get a diary, one with extra pages and plenty of room to write your notes. A day to a page is the best. There are planner diaries but you may like to use a notebook where you will have more room to keep records. Remember you will have samples of materials, pictures of styles of wedding dresses, bridal flowers, wedding cakes etc that you like and these help narrowing your choices down. So when choosing your wedding planner diary, take these factors into account.
Decide on your priorities. You need to take into account your wedding budget and sticking to your budget is so very important.
Once you choose your attendants, you may be able to ask them to help out with some of the tasks. There are many areas where your family could help out with initial enquiries, like costings and menus for wedding reception venues, bridal car hire availability and fees etc. By sharing the initial steps your workload will be lightened.
If your boss is agreeable, you may be able to schedule your working hours to give you some extra time off, or time off when vendors you need to contact will be available. You could maybe start earlier and finish later and take the extra time off during the middle of the day. Mind you, you may only need to do this a couple of times and most bosses will help out in a situation like this, after all, by planning like this, you will be less stressed and a less stressed worker will do a better job.
There are many wedding expos these days and if there is one in your area or even close to your area, then make sure you get along to it. You can achieve so much in just one day by visiting a Bridal Expo.
Make a list of the names of vendors you might like to use and then contact them initially by phone. you can judge by an enquiry phone call if they would be suitable and then you can make an appointment to see them. That way you will short-list the number of vendors you want to see to make the all important decision as to which wedding vendor you want to use.
If you feel after taking into account all you need to do, that you will not have the time to do everything then start looking for a professional wedding planner. He or she will take the wedding planning load from your shoulders and you will be able to really enjoy your wedding day, stress free.

Posted on April 26, 2008 - Filed Under wedding
If you are planning a wedding, there are hundreds of things that you are thinking about. You are thinking about the colors, the food and the music. But, are you thinking about the cost? Are you worried that you just will not have enough? Are you planning to pay for the wedding later? While you do need to worry about all those other things, it is important for you and your spouse to sit down and talk about what is going to happen at your wedding financially. Having a wonderful wedding also means having an affordable one.
Do I Need To Skimp?
Many individuals think that they need to have a cheap wedding to afford it. The fact of the matter is that you do not. You can find everything that you want and have to have at lower prices most of the time. And, you can plan your wedding to be what you want and not go over board. Here are some tips.
Plan a budget. The most important aspect of the wedding planning is doing the budget. If you plan to spend $1000 on a wedding dress but find one that is several hundred dollars more, you’ll need to give up something else, look for another dress or you’ll need to make that extra money.
Credit card purchases. One of the most financially problematic things that any couple can do when entering a marriage is to start out with lots of debt. Whenever it is possible, make your wedding purchases with cash. If you are planning to have a home, you’ll need to make sure that your credit stays in good standings as well.
Realize the benefits of spending less. When you think that you are going to have a bad wedding because you can’t spend a ton on it, that’s just the way it will turn out. But, if you plan a budget and look for ways to keep your purchases in check, you’ll be able to use that money for other things like a great honeymoon or an investment in a down payment for a home.
Yes, the wedding is important but look towards your future as well.
